Lewis Hamilton receives IWC Ltd Edition

Three times world Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton knows all about split-second timing, which is something he has in common with IWC Schaffhausen, the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer.

Earlier this year at the launch of the watchmaker’s Watches Novelties collection, he was presented with the new IWC Schaffhausen Pilot World Timer limited edition, at the time having a retail price around the $9,000 mark.

Not that he needed to part with a cent while IWC is sponsoring the Mercedes Formula One team.

A Unique Blend

The limited edition watch designed to allow reading the time anywhere in the world suits Lewis well, considering his globe-trotting since securing his third F1 world championship.

It may have been a slightly rocky, or at least, delayed start to his career with Mercedes, but time has matured this 31 year old and honed his skills. Together with his team-mate Nico Rosberg, he’s relishing his flourishing winning streak. Perhaps the mix of precision engineering and genuine team work are the ingredients for the perfect storm on the track.

The figures speak for themselves. Since taking the wheel with the Mercedes team Hamilton has consistently pushed the envelope in the pursuit excellence, that he appears to be repeating yet again with his team mate Rosberg.

2013: Mercedes – finishing in  4th place
2014: Mercedes – finishing in  1st place
2015: Mercedes – finishing in  1st place

2016 Championship Scores

Lewis Hamilton       GBR  MERCEDES               250
Nico Rosberg            GBR  MERCEDES               248
Daniel Ricciardo      AUS  RED BULL                  161
Sabastian Vettel      GER  FERRARI                     143

It doesn’t take much imagination to guess how Mercedes and IWC Schaffhausen feel about the situation. Hamilton and Rosberg have created an F1 team that’s as yet an unstoppable force, and Mercedes and IWC are reaping the rewards.

It’s enough to make you want to go out and take ownership of your own IWC right away. Well, after all, it’s substantially less costly than ordering your own F1 Mercedes, right?

For those of you blessed with the resources to buy a race car I say kudos to you, but for the rest of us, let’s talk about something a little more down to earth. Sadly, the limited addition is nowhere to be found, at least I have not found it anywhere, but we do have some other options.

There are some truly beautiful IWC models direct on their website but I can’t honestly suggest you look there. The purpose of this site is to introduce you to authentic luxury watches at discount, or almost wholesale prices, so where should we look?

I found a couple of places you might like to look at, just for the heck. I don’t have any affiliation with this two offerings but I think you will like them.

The first is a collection of discounted IWC Pilot models with some having up to %40 discount, which represents a substantial saving. Take a look at the discounted pilot with this link.

The second link I have for you is just for fun and wishful thinking really. Here you’ll find some really lovely IWC limited editions, with discounts, but the prices are a little silly in the first place. So, if you had money to burn you would probably be shopping here.

I hope you like what you see, even though you’re not buying it’s always nice to dream. After all, dreaming is free. If you like my post share it with your friends, maybe they like looking at ‘watch porn’ aswell :o)
